… found two goals in the back of Houston’s net Sunday, 7 October 2007 – away from home no less.
Houston scored first after 21 minutes with a one-time shot by Nate Jaqua that slipped into the right hand corner. Houston’s lead and hopes for an easy win dissipated when Los Angeles equalized the game just before half time after Carlos Pavon hit the target off of a pass from Landon Donovan. Then in the 77th minute when Cobi Jones sent a header off of a free kick towards the center of the box near the post, and Gavin Glinton was there to put it just inside that very post to give Los Angeles their winning goal.
This is L.A.’s fourth victory in a row and there is little doubt that they will let the chance to take the last playoff spot slip by them. The team plays Toronto FC on Saturday at the Home Depot Center, who they tied 0-0 back in August. Toronto is dead last in the Eastern Conference, with two less wins than second to last place L.A. (who have eight wins).

Yay!!!! Go Beckham!!
Oh, wait… Did he even play that game? Perhaps he had a blister that kept him off the field. Or maybe he was cranky from not sleeping enough the night before because he watched a scary movie (those puppets in Labyrinth can be so frightening! Why does Vicks let him do that?).
Best quarter of a BILLION dollars ever spent, guys.
