I was graciously invited by Laure over at Apartment Therapy to the grand opening party for the new Wired Living Home in the Brentwood Hills.
And what better way to show my appreciation than by getting tanked?
Because this was the opening party, there was no emphasis put on providing info. There was, however, emphasis put on providing yummy hors d’Å“uvres.
In order to “protect the privacy of the future owners of the house,” attendees were told to park at the Kenter Canyon School, where shuttles took people to and from the event. The house itself is located far into the hills.
I’d love to give you guys a great walk-through of the place, all the neat little things they have built in and all the thoughtful ecological planning that went into it. So I’ll direct you to Laure’s write-up for that. Being the sensible one, she actually took literature home and did a little research. She even took better pictures than me. Oh, and she didn’t drink.
I will say this: 360 Vodka is really smooth. And apparently it’s organic, which I guess is a bonus, right? I’m helping the environment while getting my buzz on!
The place looks great, with plenty of modern design furniture, spacious rooms, and lots and lots of high-tech gadgets, from a retina scanner entrance to some little LCD thingies built into the walls (no idea what they do). With a $2.3 million price tag, I guess I would expect no less…
If you really want some in-depth info, I’d encourage you to take the tour! You only have until Monday to do so, so get your tickets now!

Wow, you do me proud! The vodka was good, I’ll admit. You forgot to mention the cool Euro Dual flush toilet–a little for number 1 and a lot more water for number 2.

Oh of course! I can be so absent-minded…
