The 5th Annual Way Too Overhung Art Exhibit is in effect. It’s a great way to purchase works from artists in all stages of their careers because it is so affordable. Everything is priced at just $99.99 and the maximum size is 10″ x 10″; so this is a great place to buy Christmas presents: if you buy something for someone and they hate it, they can just hide it in their bathroom on the wall with the lightswitch.
Devon Tsuno has been the mastermind behind this event since the beginning. It has been a success since the first year. Since then the entries have grown every year, evidence showing in the rows of art climbing higher and higher up on the wall. This year I expect you will need binoculars to view all of the art.
In the spirit of shameless self promotion, yours truly has contributed three pieces for the exhibit, see if you can find them!
Opening Reception: December 7, 2007
Show continues through January 4, 2008
Address: Cafe Back Door

I’ve been to this in the past and all I can say is if you plan on purchasing any of the art, get there early, because it sells fast. There’s always some awesome stuff there.

I was there yesterday for lunch (salmon cake sandwich is awesome!) and got a sneak peek! They haven’t finished hanging all the pieces yet…it’s such a tease! Based on what I saw, it’s going to be an awesome show! Geez, real art for 99 bucks!

The artwork is fabulous at a bargain price $99.00. We bought 3 wonderful pieces and had so much fun selecting them. There is such a variety and many art pieces. The food was yummy, especially the catfish!!! I can’t wait to go back!!!
