There was a shooting outside a popular Pasadena Restaurant Mi Piace on Wednesday, a town rarely associated with any kind of violence.
Hostess Camyle Meier was saying good night to a diner at Old Pasadena eatery Mi Piace on Wednesday when she heard a boom.
She quickly realized the noises from outside were gunshots. Frozen, she watched a man, wounded in the back, grab his side and crumple to the Colorado Boulevard pavement. Dozens of holiday revelers in the popular Italian restaurant “screamed and ducked,” she said. A doctor eating dinner and a server rushed outside to help the victim.
Then, after a few moments of gawking out of the restaurant windows, Meier, 23, said, “everyone just went back to eating like it was no big deal. [LATimes.com]
The next day the restaurant was actually busier than usual with mom’s with strollers, teenagers, and the usual bunch. The only issue was of a broken window next to the restaurant and some glass.
The shooter was apparently 18 year old Mark Cole who was in a dispute over marijuana. The victim is currently in stable condition. My only question is what the hell is up with Pasadena? When did they get adjust to gun shots with dinner?
