Not much happens during the period between Christmas and New Years, but there are a few exciting things that you can still do to entertain yourself during that lull. Here’s a few suggestions…
A Charlie James Brown Christmas
The Troubadour Theater Company presents a twisted look at the classic Peanuts Christmas cartoon. With the play set to the music of James Brown, this production is bound to entertain.

Wicked
You’ve seen the commercials, maybe even thought you should go. Well, go check out “the untold story of Oz” and walk out with a smile on your face. Tickets here.
The Movies
Yes, this one sounds like you can do it any day, but try and catch a double feature. Here is a list of all the films that have come out this week and here is a list with this year’s Academy predictions. With award season in gear, check out a prestige film and then a dumb one, just so your mind doesn’t overload. Then come Oscar time, you might actually have a say as to which film you think deserves Best Picture. Check your local theater for showtimes.
Exercise
Get out of the house and start that New Year’s resolution early! 24 Hour Fitness is currently doing $25 off their sign up fee and Bally Total Fitness is doing $75 off or 7 days free. Or if you prefer to do things on your own, with the weather cool and crisp, it is a perfect time to go running in your neighborhood, at the beach, or even the gym. Bundle up, stretch, and get your butt going.
