Zocalo is hosting a discussion at NPR West on the topic of America’s way of life and the impact the rise of other global powers could have on this way of life - in a context of a unique situation in which none of the world’s great powers is our adversary. Nina Hachigian and Mona Sutphen, co-authors of are moderated by Kal Raustiala, Director of the UCLA Burkle Center for International Relations as they discus how the U.S. can thrive in an age of multiple powers. Should the U.S. welcome emerging nations into an international order, sharing the burden of pressing global problems of peace, climate, health, and growth?
