LA Morning Traffic and Weather - Cold and Slow

cartinrain-08-01-23RAIN! It’s going to start raining by this afternoon and continue through Saturday. By tomorrow or Thursday we should be in for a real treat with the possibility of hail and thunderstorms. Today there will be temperature highs around 58 degrees and lows around 48 degrees.

National Weather Service Reports for today:

Today: Showers likely, mainly after 10am. Some of the storms could produce small hail. East wind 7 to 14 mph becoming south. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%

Tonight: Periods of showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 10pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail and heavy rain. South wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

As for traffic, brought to you by Sigalert:

  • On the 134 Freeway, The Hollywood Westbound on ramp is closed due to police activity.
  • On the 210 Freeway Westbound freeway at Sierra Madre/Altadenta there is an accident blocking the #3 lanes.
  • On the 405 Southbound just past the 101 there was an accident at 8:08am with no injuries currently being cleared up, but causing traffic to slow down.

    Ok call me crazy, but I am excited about the rain. Now, if it only snowed in L.A I wouldn’t be able to contain myself.
