  • Police seeking help for a man who attempted to abduct a 5-year old boy from Saticoy Elementary School - At 2:05pm today a man claimed to be at the school to pick up his son. He told the boy in Armenian that he was a friend of the boys father, the teacher said in English that the boy needed to finish his work. The boys Grandmother turned up and the man ran off. The family did not send anyone to pick him up and did not know the man in the sketch. The man has been described as Armenian, 35-40, brown eyes, short black hair with grey temples and balding in the back, and about 6 foot with a husky build. He was driving a black Mercedes Benz. If you have any information call the LAPD at (818) 623-4075 during business hours or (877) 529-3855 after hours.
  • Elephant seals running a muck! At this time every year elephant seals come to the shore to give birth, but for some reason many of them have been attempting to cross the 1 Freeway, something they have never done before, causing them to get killed and truck drives to get seriously injured. “When a 4,700-pound pickup truck meets a 5,000-pound seal, they both lose.”
  • Police impersonator pulls over off-duty police officer. Steven B. Rivas, attempted to pull over an unknown officer Lucy Caldwell over the weekend. When she stopped he said he was an undercover police officer and she said she was an officer as well and asked to see his credentials. He went to his vehicle to “get them” and sped off. Caldwell called in his license plate number and he was arrested later at his house. “Rivas was charged with impersonating a police officer and abduction, both felonies, and with reckless driving and use of unauthorized lights, both misdemeanors”and has no chance at bail for two months.
