One blow out win with the newly acquired Pau Gasol and the Lakers are automatically hailed as championship contenders. What happens next? The Lakers lose to the sub .500 Hawks. One game doesn’t reveal all that much about a team. I suggest everyone takes the wait and see approach.
The best team in the West, the Phoenix Suns, just acquired Shaq in a blockbuster deal with the Heat and that changes everything in the Western Conference. Yes Shaq is older and injury prone, but he is still a major presence in the lane.
As for the Clippers, nothing new on their front; they still suck!
Roger Clemens met with lawyers from the House Committee on Tuesday. He is still denying any involvement with steroids and HGH. Clemens former trainer McNamee has turned over a gauze and needles, said to contain traces of illegal substance and Clemens DNA, to a federal prosecutor for the Northern District of California. All I can say is, good for him if he’s telling the truth and good luck getting sympathy from anyone if he turns out to be lying.
Registration for Dodgers opening day tickets against the hated Giants ends on Friday March 14th Register. If you’ve never been to opening day at Dodger Stadium, you don’t know what your missing.

The Lakers were contenders before Gasol. This team has not been healthy all season and is still amongst the top teams in any conference.
I agree that one game doesn’t reveal that much about a team. Especially that loss on the road in Atlanta.

Yo, Tony… Keep up the good work. I agree that one game does not have much significance. As for Clemens… well, I haven’t liked that guy since he left the BoSox. Anyway, good observations, man.
