- Two Men and a dog die in a trailer park accident when their home goes up in flames at 5:12am for an unknown reason most likely while they were sleeping. There was no fire alarm in the trailer.
- Homeless man, Steven Emory Butcher, has been charged with starting the 2006 Los Padres fire which destroyed 163,000 acres. He now faces 11 1/2 years in prison for allowing debris he used for a fire to grow out of control.
- 17 year-old boy, riding a bicycle was shot to death in Hollywood last night near Clinton Street and Norton Ave. The boy was shot in the head and on upon polices arrival.
- Transito Ramos, 47, has been found beaten after being filed as missing. He went to take out the trash at 5:30am in Riverside and when he did not return his wife reported him missing when she saw trash tipped over. Ramos has been abducted, beaten for hours, and then left in the neighborhood.
- (Not LA) Suicide bomber drivers into a crowd and kills 37 people in Northwest Pakistan with a car bomb. A second car comb nearby killed two others nearby.
