I love the Aero. They do a great job of showing new films before they hit mainstream theaters and at bringing back the classics, often with a members of the cast or crew. So what do we have tonight and tomorrow at the Aero?

Tonight, Feb 16th:

Who likes the 1974 classic, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre? If you do, the director of the film, Tobe Hooper, will be on stage commenting on the film while it is screening! How awesome is that? Not only will you get a chance to see the classic film on the big screen, get to hear Tobe Hooper live, but you will also get a play by play of what he thinks of the movie!

Tomorrow, Feb 17th:

Then for those of you who prefer special effects to horror, come down to the Aero tomorrow where they will be screening The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958) on it’s 50th Anniversary with live commentary with the screening from four of the most renowned visual effects wizards of all time. Ray Harryhausen who did the special effects for The 7th Voayge of Sinbad will be joined by Oscar winner Dennis Muren (Star Wars), Phil Tippett (Starship Troopers) and Randall William Cook (Lord of the Rings).

***Prior to the screening, Every Picuture Tells a Story, will host a recpetion, exhibit, and booksigning for Ray Harryhausen. Harryhausen’s original drawings from many fantasy epics will be on display, including a brand new limited edition of a rare work by Harryhausen called the “Sinbad and the Bat People”.
