Erwin Redl at MCASD La Jolla
Exhibition runs through May 4, 2008
For the first time since it’s acquisition in 2007, The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego (La Jolla) will be exhibiting “Matrix II” by Austrian born artist Erwin Redl. The room is installed with floor to ceiling phosphor-green LED lights, creating a pulsating network of light and the impression of receding space throughout the gallery space.
There is a great portfolio online at paramedia.net which shocases much of the Matrix series as well as other installations by Redl. I don’t often get down to San Diego myself, but I am thinking this would be a fine excuse to make the drive.
