If you don’t know Sushi Nozawa, welcome back from your extended time spent in prison. Because that’s really the only reason you wouldn’t know about Nozawa.
Although he’s been referred to as the Sushi Nazi, that title is entirely undeserved. After all, the entire concept behind it is ‘omakase’, wherein you’re trusting the chef to serve you with deliciousness. After all, this place was in the top 3 Zagat-rated places in LA for how long?
But I digress. I’m here to share with you the great news! Kazunori Nozawa is working his newest concept: Sugarfish! While details are still sketchy, the official word is that it will “the best attributes of the original restaurant with some new things added.” No, it probably couldn’t be any more vague.
But the point of all this is to tell you that you’ll no longer have to schlep yourself to the Valley for some Nozawa action, since Sugarfish will be in Marina del Rey at the new Waterside shopping center! Yippee!
More details as they emerge. Tip from Eater LA via EaterWire.
