Pulitzer Prize winning novel, The Color Purple comes to Los Angeles in theater form at the Ahmanson Theatre. Although American Idol alum Fantasia Barrino will not be in the L.A show, the cast includes many other talented stage veterans.

A 1920s Masquerade Ball at the Unknown Theater will take place in which all proceeds will go to the Sheryl Schafer Fund. Sheryl, who has vaculitis, has endured two strokes and brain surgery and this fundraiser will help her get a daily health care provider and treatments to combat her illness and improve her quality of life.

Los Angeles artist Frohawk Two Heathers presents a series of paintings involving fictitious imperialists and the shenanigans they become involved in. The artwork is based loosely on the lyrics of the song “In The Court of the Crimson King” by psych rock group Crimson King.
