This, my friends, is nearly too good to be true. At this boutique, one will find couture clothing and accessories (normally right there I’d shrivel up into a little ball, because couture is guaranteed to cost more than my college degree) for 60% to 90%. Finally we get to join in!
The exciting (or slightly ridiculous – you take your pick) part is the fact that everything is hand-picked by Ms. Pietra (Fashion Editor), from the closets of “international celebs, designers, editors, and professional shoppers.”
To add to it’s mystic and exclusivity, this boutique is open by appointment only, but there is still time to make an appointment here. Like I said, slightly ridiculous, but hey, I’m not complaining. I’ll take advantage of any opportunity where “couture” is in the same sentence as “low prices” and you should too, because it gets even better: there will be three racks of designer clearance items starting at $5. Now THAT is my cup of tea.
If you’re angered that I keep pressuring you to shop, here’s some consolation: My political communication professor was talking about the current state of our economy, which is, according to many experts, in a recession. Because of this, people have been buying less. However, according to him, this is illogical. Tightening our budgets and holding on to our dollar bills means we’re feeding less money into the economy. Therefore, the recession is unlikely to improve, but instead worsen. So, the lesson of the day, courtesy of Nicola’s Communications professor is: spend more, and help our economy! And lesson number two, courtesy of Nicola: Spend at places where you get a good deal, so you help your pocket book! So this Sunday and Monday, you can put these teachings to practice at the Metamorphosis by Michele Pietra event.
