Hollywood might be slowly succumbing to gentrification, it will always be Hollywood. So it’s no surprise that the international Supperclub chain is opening it’s latest venture in our fair little tinsel town.
One part cabaret, one part restaurant and one part club, Supperclub will be taking over the historic Vogue Theater on Hollywood blvd (home to Fritz the ghost).
From the official release: “Patrons eat and drink on actual beds while watching edgy performers (dominatrixes, opera singers, midgets on bicycles, etc.) during lavish multi-course meals.“
It’s like a decadence-era Roman circus. Only here. And people wonder why there’s talk about the decline of the American Empire…
The place will accommodate 570 people for dinner and every so often will max out at 808 for the major party holidays. And true to Hollywood style, there will a “the Gold Room,” a VIP area. Keep an eye for it near the end of the year.
Supperclub is also present in SF, Rome and originally from Amsterdam. Says co-owner Abdi Manavi: “In Amsterdam the shows tend to be more fetish-like, in Rome the shows are more serious, and in San Francisco anything goes. . . . We’ll see what happens in L.A.“

But will there be punch and pie? Because as everyone knows, a club is not a club without punch and pie.
