What to Watch This Week - Gordon Ramsay photoEver wonder what is really worth watching live, what’s worth Tivo-ing and what is just not worth it at all? Well here is your list of what not to miss this week on TV!
What to Watch Live

Hell’s Kitchen (Tuesday, FOX, 9 PM)

Professional chef and jackass Gordon Ramsay brings his show back for its fourth season. Not wanting to mess with a successful formula, the show’s format is unchanged from prior seasons. The contestants will again vie to take control of the kitchen at one of Ramsay’s restaurants. The worst candidate will be eliminated each week.

My Name is Earl (Thursday, NBC, 8 PM)

The show has taken a dramatic and probably horrible step to grab ratings by having Paris Hilton appear as a guest star. The premise is that Earl is in a coma and has a dream in which his life is a sitcom (what an original concept). The rest of the cast is charged with finding a way to get Earl out of his coma by means of a child with healing powers.

What to DVR

Duel (Friday, ABC, 9 PM)

ABC’s hit game show returns for its second season. This season is different from the first in that it will air weekly instead of on consecutive nights. Duel is unique among game shows because of its head-to-head format, where challengers take each other on directly. DVR it because it’s airing on Friday night.

Battlestar Galactica (Friday, SciFi, 10 PM)

The SciFi channel’s most popular show, Battlestar Galactica returns for its fourth season on the network following its beginnings as a miniseries back in 2003. One of the show’s characters returns from the dead, telling the rest of the ship’s crew that she has been on Earth in the mean time, making her a convenient guide to lead them there. DVR it because it airs on Friday night.

What Sports to Watch

What to Watch This Week - Dodgers photoSan Francisco Giants vs. Dodgers (Monday, ESPN, 1:10 PM)

The Dodgers open the regular season on Monday after finishing up their weekend series against the Red Sox, which included Saturday’s record-setting game at the Coliseum commemorating the Dodgers move to Los Angeles 50 years ago. The Giants were the Dodgers’ biggest rivals even before the teams moved to California, so this match-up is always important for the Dodgers.  It should be a fairly easy game - the Giants have one of the worst teams in MLB this season.

NCAA Mens’ Basketball Final Four (Saturday, CBS, 3 PM)

UCLA has made it to the Final Four for the third season in a row, where they will meet Memphis, who blew out Texas on Sunday. All four #1 seeds made it to the Final Four for the first time in the tournament’s history, so there are no Cinderellas left, just the four best teams in the country, all ready to slug it out for the national title. The later game on Saturday features Kansas, who just barely squeaked by Davidson on Sunday, against North Carolina, a team that has looked unstoppable this March.
