Shopping: Escape from the heat in an oasis of sales this week.

Summer shopping. Hopefully some of these sales will have some HOT WEATHER clothing, and if not, a pretty huge price cut for anything other than. Because I cannot imagine buying a jacket, sweatshirt, pants, socks, or frankly anything other than a personal fan and spray bottle right now. Or in the next six months. It is sweltering outside, and I have a feeling it will be for more than just a day. So let’s get out of the heat and shop from now until the winter sales. Summer dress.

Here are some places of refuge, my poor souls. So next weekend, when you’re dripping in sweat as you sit in your car on Highway 10, you can remember those sales you wrote down from Nicola’s post, find the nearest sale to you, pull off the freeway and rescue yourself!

First off, here’s a reminder for the Charles David Warehouse Sale I mentioned last week, in hopes of giving ample warning for this sure-to-be-amazing sale.

This event boasts a jaw-droppingly huge inventory: over 20,000 pairs of shoes, boots, and purses are to be there. Insane!!! Check out Charles David clothing online.

Next is Michelle Mason’s Warehouse Sale.

When: Saturday and Sunday, April 19 and 20.

Okay, so I still have no idea, because apparently you need Flash Player 7 to view the site. If you’re like me and aren’t blessed with the greatness that apparently is Flash Player, then check out her pieces on another site, like the “Girl Next Door” or Tangerine online boutiques.

Words I’d use to describe Michelle Mason’s tops, dresses, and such, would be airy and flowy for some pieces, and a little let’s-go-clubbing for others. I prefer the former, but to each their own. Either way, they’ll be on sale!

Now here’s a little incentive sure to burn a whole in your pocket: for every $100 you spend at the Porridge Clothing Warehouse Sale, you’ll be entered to win a complete bedding set worth over $1000. Now that better be a luxurious bedding set. Or a week on a cruise liner, complete with the bedding. Alas, my second wish will not be granted- the prize is the bedding. But if you wish real hard, maybe you’ll win the sheets and get to go to bed knowing you’re chic from headboard to toes!

In addition to the raffle, yes, they will be selling things. Cotton tee shirts and dresses, silk jackets, and tons of awesome clothing from both winter and spring collections. Good, because like I said, it is hot out, and I want to buy nothing more than tank tops and dresses and swimsuits and iced coffee and gelato.
