As Thrillist just informed us, word on round these parts is that Father’s Office 2, the Helms Bakery sibling to Santa Monica’s beloved burger / beer joint, is now open. And this one has taken all the things you love from the original, and improved on them (except the burger. I’m sure the burger still sucks).
Check it out: For starters, it’s about 3 times as big, because we all know how pleasant that cramped little room on Montana can get, where you literally have to argue with the bouncer just so you can sit with your friends.
I had a chance to walk by it the other day, and it is loooooooong, with a lovely outdoor seating area.
And of course the real draw to FO is the beer selection. They still have the wonderful 38 beers on tap, which is worth the trip alone. But now they’re also featuring 8 wines on tap as well. How classy! Wine from a tap! Word is there will also be a rotating list of cocktails from the spout as well. Gives a whole new meaning to”well drink.”
So if you’re in the Culver City area, now’s your chance to see if this place really lives up to all the hype your Santa Monica friends seem to heap onto the place.

I am soooo looking forward to this place. The SM one is just too crazy and sceney for me but the burgers are so tasty!
