Compleat Female Stage Beauty - Even in the Shakespearean era, drag queens defended their roles on the stage like fierce lionesses. In a new comedy as the inaugural production for Rogue Machine, one of the Renaissance’s most popular and famous actors, who always portrayed women, named Edward Kynaston, enjoyed fame and glory until women were allowed to finally join men on the stage. Based on a true events, “Compleat Female Stage Beauty” addresses issues still prevalent of sexuality and creativity still prevalent in modern theater.

The Nothing Boys - The high school reunion seems to be one of the media’s best-chronicled life phenomena, portraying the high school geeks transformed into hunky bachelors and the former popular kids wallowing in white trash existence. “The Nothing Boys,” however, takes an entirely different spin on the ten-year reunion when the main character comes back to discover only one other friend present at the reunion. What happens when these “nothing boys” get together and discover how they’ve aged and matured?

The Concept of Remainders - It is common for middle-aged couples to become bored with each other after years in a lackluster marriage, but few middle-aged couples turn to agreed-upon extramarital sex to solve their problems. In “The Concept of Remainders,” a couple makes an agreement to have sex with other partners for a week and recover their libidos. The more the two the experiment, however, the deeper and darker the issues of their marriage become revealed.

From Door to Door - Angelenos know that the city can often seem an unforgiving place, and “From Door to Door’s” portrayal of life in Chicago is now exception. Following the lives of three Jewish women over several decades, “From Door to Door” provides a poignant, dramatic account of how different women’s struggles and triumphs in urban life.
