Highlights:
- Cars powered by natural gas, biodiesel and hybrid technology plus electric motorbikes and electric-assisted bicycles on view. RAV4 EVs available for ride-alongs.
- A “Smackdown” panel pitting advocates of electric, biodiesel and hydrogen fuel cell vehicles. Panel speakers will include Chris Pine, co-founder of the L.A. Biodiesel Coop, and Doug Korthof and Linda Nicholes, both of whom appear in “Who Killed the Electric Car?” and Vasilios Manousiouthakis, UCLA professor of chemical engineering.
- Huntington Beach Mayor Debbie Cook, who educates the public and policy makers about the risks of the inevitable peaking of global oil production, speaking about water and energy conservation.
- Members of the Sierra Club, Palos Verdes/South Bay Chapter, and Plug In America offering concrete actions to help protect the environment.
- Fair exhibitors displaying everything from tankless water heaters to tubular skylights to dual-pane windows.
