Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim met at Temple University in Pennsylvania. They became close friends and collaborated on strange little art projects. One of which was a unique animation short entitled, ” Tom Goes to the Mayor.” After entering it into a few small comedy short festivals, they decided it was good enough to send to one of their idols, Bob Odenkirk ( who was one of the creators and stars of the legendary Mr. Show). Odenkirk recieved the short along with two signed head shots of Tim and Eric and an invoice for the whole package and in mid-view called the duo and the rest is history.

Tim and Eric have brough there deadpan, awkward and realistically fantastic brand of humor to a live-action format, the first of its kind for the cartoon network. With an 11-minute straight shot of weird comedic bliss, the show is unique and relevant in it’s irrelevant dialogue and themes. With terrific guest spots from stars such as John C. Reilly, Weird Al Yankovic, Michael Cera and random “unknowns” it’s a refreshing and unpretentious blend.
Another element to Tim and Eric’s world is the Live action tours, where they perform characters from the show on-stage, live musical numbers, special guests and screen video clips. Tim and Eric performed last night and will be doing another show tonight at the echoplex in Echo Park. If you don’t know, now you know. Doors are

at 8pm, it’s 18+ and it’s $20 at the door. Well worth the asking price for an evening of craziness.
