TNT runs the Mic’s Up segment where we almost never hear anything interesting. Odom points out that Sloan is trying to fire up the Jazz by getting a tech. He implores his mates, “don’t let em get fired up. He trying to fire them up. Don’t let ‘em get fired up.” Brilliant.

• 7:55 Farmar gets to the line sporting a shaved head. Anything that draws attention to those ears probably not something you want to explore.

Chuck gets a bug put in his drink during halftime solidifying Inside the NBA as the best show on TNT right up there with Tyler Perry’s Bill Engvall show, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne, and Tyler Perry’s The Closer.

3^rd QUARTER

• 11:45 Boozer’s eyebrows settle down and finally get him a basket.
• 9:45 Jazz cut it to 8 with another two from Boozer.
• 7:18 The MVP gets a three point play the old fashioned way. Can he ever just do something unspectacular?
• 6:51 The MVP gets to the line, but not before he stares down Milsap? Really?
• 5:21 Timeout and the Lakers have managed to maintain their 14 point halftime edge.
• After the break we get a peak inside the respective locker rooms at halftime. Jackson tells his team to come out strong in the first 5 minutes. Sloan tells his team they can’t give up 62% shooting and win a game. Starting to think I can be an NBA coach
• 2:27 Williams gets a nice jam right down the heart of the Lakers D.
• 1:36 Kirilenko bats a volley ahead to Brewer for the dunk. All of a sudden it’s an 8 point game.
• :05 Fisher gets a three off the assist from the MVP. He’s got 19.
• :01 Bombs away. Williams for three.

End of 3^rd and Lakers up 10.

4^th QUARTER

• 7:05 Harpring hits a jumper and the lead is down to 6.
• 6:15 Kobe gets to the line for 2 after Milsap blows a lay-up that would have cut it to 4. This feels pivotal.
• 5:58 Boozer gets fouled by Odom. Odom responds by yelping like a cat in heat. Not quite sure what that was
• 5:34 Not to be outdone by Boozer’s brow, Sasha’s hair nets him a jumper. Collins reminds us Vujacic has dubbed himself ‘the machine’. The NBA has to do something about this.
• 4:44 Fisher hits a clutch 3. Lakers up by 11.
• 4:05 Collins reminds us for the 47^th time that Kobe now “trusts his teammates.”
• 3:27 Kirilenko with a 3 point play, but this one feels like its over. Lakers up 8.
• 2:27 The MVP with a spectacular assist to Pau. Haven’t mentioned Pau much, but he’s been solid all game. Timeout and goodnight Jazz. Lakers hold court going back to Utah…
