Probably inspired by our very own “Best Cupcake in LA” competition we held, Drink:Eat:Play is putting on their own “Cupcake Challenge.”
10 local LA cupcakeries (namely Yummy Cupcakes, Vanilla Bake Shop, Milk, Famous Cupcakes, Hotcakes, Lucky Devils, The Oinkster, Violet’s Cakes, Babycakes, My Little Cupcake, Lark, Essential Chocolate Desserts, and Mrs. Beasley’s - about half of which already got reviewed here) will be going toe-to-toe to take the title of Best cupcake in LA (according to not us).
But what’s more, this event will be raising money for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, so that basically negates any guilt you’d feel for eating them. After all, you’re just doing your part to make the world a better place. So go get your tickets! Info down below.
Tickets are $60, and you’ll get cupcakes and wine.

It definately was….As a chocholate lover… I was surprised that i fell in love with a strawberry flavor…From some new bakery called Leyna’s Kitchen. Definately deeelicious.

Can we help save the world some more? I want more cupcakes!! The tall cupcake stands had some class. But wasn’t the pink strawberry booth the best? They totally stood out and had me craving for some more this afternoon.
