
- School on lockdown after 600 students involved in fight - A fight that broke out at Locke High School in South Los Angeles between black and Hispanic students caused minor injuries and led to the arrest of four people. The altercation involved some 600 students and broke out Friday afternoon. No one, however, was transported to the hospital.
- Man shot and killed in Azusa - A man was shot to death in Azusa just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, according to authorities. The victim was found by police next to his truck. Two adults were walking when a suspect emerged from a parked car and demanded money. One of the victims ran and heard a gunshot. The second victim was apparently hit by the gunfire on the spot.
- Decapitation under investigation - Police are investigating the death of Jacquelyn Fields, whose partially decapitated body was found by a business owner in a South Los Angeles alley. The 46-year-old woman was described as a “street person” by investigators and appears to have suffered multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma.
- Housekeeper cleared in death of 90-year-old woman - A housekeeper has been cleared in the death of Evelyn Mosley, whose body was found inside a burned home in Altadena. Mosley was arrested around 1 a.m. Friday for investigation, however a deputy says the questioning led to the woman’s exoneration about 13 hours later. Mosley’s body was discovered Thursday by firefighters who responded to a blaze at her home. The case is being investigated as a homicide.
