I’ve been obsessed with The String Doll Gang for a couple of years now. If you know me, chances are you’ve seen one of these little guys on my key chain or even received one as a gift. These neato- burrito dolls from Thailand are so cool. You’re totally gonna want one.

A String Doll is made in Thailand from one continuous piece of string. The collection started in 2005 with just a dozen or so and has now grown to include over 60 varieties. Each String Doll has a ’special power’ that does something good for you or whoever you give it to. You can match the doll to the recipient! Imagine the fun you’ll have picking them out for your pals and your fam. Guys even like them because they’re just that rad.

My favorites include Samurai (pictured above), who “is your loyal friend and a thorn in the side of your enemies”, Sid, who has a mohawk and “protects you against those who have bad taste in music,” and The Little Prince, who “instills strength and bravery when you need it most.” The one I carry most is Judo Sensei. He “promotes health, fitness and the well-being of both body and mind.” He is the sole reason I can dunk on you.
