Photo Essay: Hollywood Cemetary

May 15th, 2008 Written by: Gary· 1 Comment

One thing I often hear when friends from out of town come to visit is, ‘Where can we see the stars at?” or the usual complaining of, “I didn’t get to see any stars!” So I decided that from now on, I would make sure that all of my out of town visitors get to see stars. I now take them to the Hollywood Forever cemetery. Its full of stars and worth a visit if you are bored, or like me, have nagging friends who want to see them.

While picture taking is pretty much forbidden, I managed to squeeze off a few shots when security was not looking. Here is Johnny Ramone, one of the founders of the punk rock group, The Ramones.

….and who could forget legendary director Cecil B Demille found here…

It is a beautiful cemetery with fountains and a small lake…

Paramount pictures is also nearby. Here is the famous water tower on the studio lot.

Anyway, its worth a trip out to see some of of Hollywood’s past celebrities and of course no one can complaint hat they didn’t see any stars.
