Firefighters are finally starting to take control over the fire burning near Mount Baldy. As of this morning the fire that has destroyed over 420-acres was officially 60 percent contained.
More than 750 firefighters from various agencies were assigned to the blaze in the Angeles National Forest, which started about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday near Mount Baldy.
The fire began in San Bernardino County, but quickly spread into Los Angeles County.
Six “recreation residences” remain evacuated in the Bear Canyon area, but no buildings have been lost and no injuries have been reported, officials said.
