
- Chatsworth teens arrested in sexual assault - Two teenage boys were arrested on Friday in connection with a sexual assault that took place in a park with Chatsworth High School girls, police and news reports said. The three girls were found unconscious Thursday and had trouble remembering anything to tell investigators, officials said Friday. “The girls have all been interviewed. (They did not remember much because) they may have blacked out,” said Capt. Steven Ruiz of the LAPD’s Devonshire Division.
- Gunman opens fire at church festival - The Associated Press has reported that a man with a rifle wounded two people at a festival outside St. John Baptist de la Salle Catholic church in Granada Hills. Two victims were taken into the church, but there is no information available on their conditions or what prompted the attack.
- Bus crash in North Hills injures 3 - Three people were injured shortly before 11 a.m,. when a Metro bus collided with another vehicle in the North Hill area. Paramedics were sent to the 8900 block of Sepulveda Boulevard and transported three people for hospital treatment. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
