LA Wouned: 3 Deadly Car Crashes and 5 Decomposed Corpses

  • 4 Dead Including Two Kids - Two adults and two children were killed in a six-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles on Monday afternoon. The accident took place on the 7100 block of Crenshaw near 73rd Street just before 6 p.m.. Three victims were dead when the paramedics arrived, six more were transported to the hospital with “serious” injuries. Eleven people were taken with “lesser” injuries.  “Two of the criticals are children,” Smith said. “The other two have not been identified because of vehicle fires. The investigation is in the preliminary stages and I do not have information on how it occurred.”
  • Two gun founds near 5 decomposing corpses - Authorities have found two handguns near the badly decomposed bodies of five family members in an Orange County Community. The handguns were found near the bodies of a man and woman in their 40s and were registered to the middle-aged woman. Giudice says the man and woman were found in a downstairs closet, while a woman in her 70s and two sisters in their early 20s were found in an attached bedroom. The man suffered from an apparent gunshot wound. The bodies are so badly decomposed it’s impossible to tell if the others were shot, too.
  • 2 Dead and 3 Injured in Laurel Canyon Crash - A sport utility vehicle went off a road in the Hollywood HiIls on Monday, fatally injuring a man in his 70s and a woman in her 20s as it careened down a hill. The vehicle apparently went off the road for an unknown reason on the 8900 block of Crescent Dr. and landed in the yard at 8711 Duncamp Pl.. Two people were thrown from the vehicle and were killed. Their names were withheld. A 44-year-old woman and 27-year-old male were taken to the Cedars. A boy about 2 years old was put on a “papoose” C-spine brace and taken to a hospital, but he was reportedly in a safety seat during the crash and not believed to be seriously injured.

  • Woman dead, children injured in crash - Cecilio S. Moreno, 69, of Mecca, who was driving a Ford Tempo while intoxicated, was booked in the fatal wreck reported at 8:43 p.m when she  rear-ended a minivan at a red light, killing a woman in the backseat of the minivan and injuring three children. Sunday at Grapefruit Blvd. and Avenue 52, but the name of the fatally injured 36-year-old woman was withheld. The woman who died was thrown from the minivan. Moreno, held on $500,000 bail in Indio, was booked on suspicion of drunken driving, vehicular manslaughter and driving without a license, authorities said.
