Old Los Angeles Theatre in Downtown LATheater is living on the edge this weekend with a smattering of shows with gun-slingers, revenge-hungry divorce lawyers, rock n’ roll, and… Keanu Reeves? Read below for more information on this weekend’s selections, including Love, Janis, Where’s My Money?, The Lonesome West, and Point Break Live!

Love, Janis: A rock concert and biography rolled into one, “Love, Janis” recreates the ’60s with disco lights and groovy Joplin vibes. With the biographical information taken from Laura Joplin’s biography of Janis, discover more about an iconic rock star.

Where’s My Money? - What happens when you put two couples of angry divorce lawyers together and… they cheat on each other? Marriage and infidelity inevitably leads to instant juicy conflict and tension.

Through June 14th. Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays: 8 P.M.

The Lonesome West: One usually associates the Wild West with the California deserts, but plenty of gun-slinging action occurs in… the west of Ireland. An Irish revenge story, “The Lonesome West” follows the story of brothers who avenge their father’s “accidental” murder.

Through June 1st. Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays: 8 P.M. Sundays: 2 P.M.

  • Price: $10.00 (Buy Now)
  • Stella Adler - Studio C Theatre
  • 6773 Hollywood Boulevard, 2nd Floor
  • Los Angeles, CA 90028 (Map)
  • More info at: Plays 411

Point Break Live! - Remember “Point Break,” the 1991 action-adventure film with Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves? Perhaps not, but it featured surfers, armed robberies, and plenty of slow-motion running sequences. Now imagine all of that live on stage with a random audience member chosen to play Keanu Reeves every night. Sounds like a perfect recreation of the film if you ask me.

Opens May 30th. Indefinite run! Fridays & Saturdays: 8 P.M.
