
- Blaze in Downtown Los Angeles - A blaze that took over a two-story building in the garment district in downtown took 150 firefighters to put out. No one was hurt in the fire that broke out before 5 a.m. Water was poured from street level on the building. Fire Chief Douglas Barry said crews kept the blaze from spreading to nearby structures. While the first floor of the building housed clothing retail business firms, it has been confirmed that no one was living on the second floor.
- One injured in Noho Fire - A house on Cartwright Avenue that was on fire was quickly put out by firefighters, despite injuring one person, according to authorities. The person was taken to the hospital, but the severity of the injures remain unclear.
- Beverly Hills hate crime caught on tape - A $20,000 reward is being offered for the arrest and prosecution of two suspects who were caught on tape spray painting anti-Semitic graffiti on the Beth Israel Temple on Beverly Boulevard. The vandalism occurred between November and January. “We’re hoping that individuals out there are going to watch this videotape and are going to be able to tell who did it,” City Councilman Jack Weiss said, as reported by CBS News.
- Authorities need help in finding 16-year-old girl - Authorities need help in finding Isabella Retirado, 16, who has been missing since May 9. She is Filipina, 5 feet 1 inch tall and about 100 pounds with long black hair. Anyone with information is urged to call Burbank police Detective Brian Gordon at (818) 238-3255 or (818) 238-3000.
