
- Deadly weekend for Los Angeles - A dozen people were killed in Los Angeles over the weekend - six from the San Fernando Valley in mostly gang-related incidents. One person was killed in Panorama City in a gang-related shooting, a 40-year-old man was killed in North Hollywood when another man hit him with a wine bottle and then stabbed him with the broken glass. In Arleta, police found the body of a man in his 30s who had been wrapped and dumped. In Encino, two were killed after being rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver, another man was killed in Walnut Park, another person shot to death at Hill and 23rd streets in the Newton area south of downtown, a 16-year-old boy was killed in Baldwin Hills. - Shooting near Blue Line train tracks - Two victims that were shot near the Blue Line train tracks in Willowbrook this afternoon were taking to St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, CBS news has reported. Other information has not made immediately available.
- Chase leads to shooting - A man shot and killed himself this morning after he broke into the apartment of an ex-girlfriend, shot and wounded her, before he fled and led police on a chase. The man, identified as Jeffery Tinnion, 51, got out of his vehicle after it had been disabled by officers and shot himself in the head.
