- Charlie Chaplin Father’s Day Matinee | Sunday, June 15, 2008 | 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. | $12 | Silent Movie Theatre - Map | In honor of Father’s Day, the Silent Movie Theatre presents a classic Chaplin film, “The Kid.” The story begins when “The Tramp” adopts an abandoned baby he discovers in an alley and raises him as his own, and teaches him a few things about schemes and cons along the way.

- The Happening | Friday, June 13, 2008 | Ticket prices vary | Theaters near you | M. Night Shyamalan newest horror flick, The Happening, hits theaters today. What better day to see it than Friday the 13th! The Happening is a paranoid thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity, according to IMDB. Well, there you go.

- Toy Theatre Festival | Saturday June 14 through Sunday, June 15, 2008 | 10 a.m. | Free | Walt Disney Concert Hall - Map | This event features 80 performances of Toy Theatre, a genre of puppetry that includes two-dimensional rod puppets enacting plays in miniature theatres. The festival is designed for ages 6 and up.
