Pro Tip: Silverlake Cheese Store Has Sandwiches

June 17th, 2008 Written by: Louis· No Comments

Panini 20080617If you ever find yourself caught near Sunset Junction with a crippling hankering for a gourmet sandwich, but just don’t have it in your to leave the hip little area (or wait forever at any of the overcrowded local eateries), let me turn you on to a great  discovery I made over the weekend:

The Cheese Store of Silver Lake has sandwiches!

And not just some sitting-in-a-fridge-all-day pseudo Wolfgang Puck sandwiches, either. No, siree. With a limited but amazingly delicious choice between hot panini-style and cold baguette fare, it was a close second to LA Mill’s orgasmic ABLT. Plus you can sit outside in the Intelligentsia terrace while you eat!

I myself had hot pastrami with cheddar, and was in hog heaven, while one of my companions had a fantastic Humboldt Fog on baguette. The only downside is if you order hot you gotta wait, but you can spend your time drooling over their small yet impressive selection of worldwide cheeses.

Cheese Store of Silverlake
3926 Sunset Blvd
LA 90029
(323) 644-7522
$8 cold / $9 warm
