Painting’s Edge: The Exhibition

The exhibition is part of the Painting’s Edge advanced painting resident workshop at Idyllwild Arts, which includes individual critiques, group discussions, studio practice and public lectures.

This year’s Visiting Artists and Critics include: Fred Tomaselli, Pat Steir, Beatriz Milhazes, Peter Plagens, Mark Bradford.

Since its inception in 2002, Painting’s Edge, has attracted some of the nation’s most renowned painters and critics including Polly Apfelbaum, Squeak Carnwath, Lydia Dona, Pia Fries, Mary Heilmann, Dave Hickey, Christopher Knight, Gary Lang, Fabian Marcaccio, Kerry James Marshall, Elizabeth Murray, Wangechi Mutu, Tom Nozkowski, Laura Owens, Bruce Pearson, Lari Pittman, Monique Prieto, David Reed, Matthew Ritchie, Jerry Saltz, Dana Schutz, Barry Schwabsky, Shahzia Sikander, Roberta Smith, Robert Storr, and Terry Winters.
