Marina del Rey just got it’s first real reason to visit: SugarFish.
We had mentioned this little place a while back: Opened by none other than Kazunori Nozawa, the Omakase maestro from his eponymous Burbank susheria, SugarFish is his first stab at branding a series of eateris that investors are apparently hoping will become the next Pinkberry (or so Eater LA would have us believe).
The menus range from $20 to $40, are pre-set for the day, and are entirely omakase-based — omakase being the “trust me” concept of “I’ll dish you up what’s best here tonight.”
The concept is intriguing: no chef, no show, just chow. Dinging stripped to it’s bare essence: you’re there to experience what Nozawa has to offer. And if his first joint is any indication, he’s got nothing but yumminess in store for us.
Since it’s not officially opened yet, hours might be a little iffy until Monday’s official launch. Look for an upcoming review!
