Gilberto Gil and Devendra Banhart will be performing June 29th at the Hollywood Bowl, and we’ve got your tickets right here. Gilberto Gil is known around the world as one of the most renown careers as a singer, composer and guitar-player in both world and pop music. Hil has been writing and performing music for four decades now and released over 30 albums. Gil has six gold records, four platinum singles and five million records sold. He has worked with a variety of musicians and has been covered and recorded by João Gilberto, Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Sergio Mendes, Ernie Watts, and Toots Thielmans. In 2002, he was appointed the minister of culture for Brazil, for his political and environmental activism over the years. As a musician and as a diplomat, Gil possesses a key role in the constant modernization of Brazilian popular music and culture throughout the world.
Devendra Banhart is a mix many different styles from around the world, he “blends modern rock-tinged folk with classic world traditions” and looks like a gypsy. At first glance it’s hard to tell what to think of him. He’s a circus performer, in drag, with a beard, but boy does the guy have musical talent. He has worked with many well known musicians such as Alanis Morissette, Death Cab for Cutie, Eel, Green Day, The Who, Pete Townshend, and many more. He is not the easiest guy to find, so catch him at the Hollywood Bowl while you still can!

1. Gilberto Gill (and bossa nova) rock my world
2. Devendra also rocks my world and I want to see his beard in person

I need to win because I am better than most people and I can play a Devendra song on guitar, so if we got attacked and he was hurt, I could fill in and play this song over and over again. I’m doing this to help him and the people.
