Fireworks and Music

Theater

  • 1984 | July 2nd-6th | 8:30pm | The Redcat (Map) | Tickets $18-$36 | You can buy tickets online here or call 213-237-2800 | There’s never a bad time to be reminded of what a tool you are. Tim Robbins’ (who was recently interviewed on LA.CityZine) production of 1984 is more poignant than you could ever imagine. It’s a great show, only playing through this weekend that I think everyone should see.

Film

  • Herzog Encounters @ The End of The World | Now until July 4th | 7pm | Tickets $9.50 - Buy here or at the theater | Located at the Landmark Nuart Theatre (Map) | Werner Herzog’s (Rescue Dawn, Grizzly Man) presents his new documentary about the weirdos who live in Antarctica. For one week he’ll be running his film at the Nuart and we encourage everyone to go and experience this weird and yet beautiful excursion. Polar Man, meet Grizzly Man.
