
- Driver killed in 210 freeway crash -This morning at around 7:50 am a motorist died when a car collided with a parked trailer on the 210 freeway. The driver of the big-rig said he stopped on the shoulder and had detached the trailer and was sitting in the truck, waiting for help, when he saw in his rearview mirror a silver Mazda 3 veer onto the shoulder and crash into the trailer. It is unclear what caused the crash but apparently the car went “all the way underneath” the trailer. The unidentified man was declared dead at the scene.
- Father of kidnapped boy died in car crash - Lonnie Ramos, the 46 year-old man who is accused of abducting his 9-year-old son after shooting his ex-wife in the face during a custody exchange has died in an car crash in Juarez, Mexico. Details of the crash are still pending. The news comes after the boy, Ryan Ramos, was found Sunday alone in a Mormon Church in Juarez.
- Woman shot in the neck in drive-by - A woman believed to be the mother of a sheriff’s deputy suffered a gunshot wound to the neck when a gunman in a vehicle fired into her house in West Whittier. The shooting occurred in the 11700 block of Keith Dr. at about 11:50 p.m. Sunday. The woman was shot once in the neck and taken to a nearby hospital. She is in stable condition. Detectives don’t know if the house had been targeted due to the victim’s connection to a sheriff’s deputy. No information has been released.
