Well, well. What a surprise. Will Smith has ANOTHER huge 4th of July opening weekend. Hancock, which opened last Monday (cheaters) raked in $66 mill this weekend and $107 mill over the entire week. Then we start to see doubles. We wander out to fantasy land, where WALL-E is in a distant but respectable second place with Wanted on it’s tail. Then there are two comedies at three and four Get Smart and Kung Fu Panda. Then you have your action films, The Incredible Hulk and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Then your chick flicks Kit Kittredge: An American Girl and Sex and the City. So there you have it. In order to have the highest numbers in this weekends box office, first you need Will Smith, then you need imagination, then a bit a ridiculous comedy, followed by even more ridiculous action, and then wrap it up with a bit of fashion sense. In that order.
