If you’ve visited the Farmer’s Market at all over the last few months, you may have noticed the signage of the seemingly Euro-reject sounding Ãple.
While the space seemed undeniably Pinkberry-esque, the different name was an obvious clue that it wasn’t a Pinkberry.
Well the mystery has been revealed!
Ãple is Pinkberry’s first attempt at selling something natural (oooooh, burn)! Ãple, apparently, is Norwegian for overpriced hype apple, and fits in with the stores theme of fruit. They sell fruit everything: jams, jellies, butters, smoothies, juices, sandwiches, and just about any other fruit-filled thing you can think of.
Blackburn and Sweetzer were first on scene to check it out, and they report that a mango-ginger-honey-lemon juice will run you $4, which is about half the cost of the stuff you’ll get at Leaf, and only twice as much as it should reasonably cost.
With Pinkberry behind it, we can only assume that this is just the first tiny burning and blistering symptom of the impending Ãple outbreak that will infect first Southern California, and eventually the rest of the major US areas.
