- Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves welcomed Levi into the world. Levi Alves McConaughey was named after a character in the bible. Matthew explains, “Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person. Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favorite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: ‘If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.’” Cool name. I’m sure they are relieved to know I approve. I have to say I like ‘Miller Lyte‘ better, though.
- Drew Barrymore is over her Mac-attack. Yes, I mean she broke up with the Mac guy, Justin Long. Or he broke up with her. Or, like, something. Anyway, it’s over. Sorry it didn’t work out, you two. Chins up, you’re both still hot and that’s, like, something too.
- Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban named their baby Sunday. Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was born on Monday and since her birth, there have been many theories on why she was named ‘Sunday’. Some speculated that she was named after a song by her father, Urban, titled, um, ‘Sunday’. Others thought it was a jab at her ex, Tom Cruise, and his religion, Scientology. Kidman’s father, however, said the baby was named after Sunday Reed, muse of artist Sidney Nolan. That’s all well and good but I know what happened. One of them (I’m thinking Nicole) broke into my condo and read my novel that I’ve been working on for 3 years. They fell in love with the main character’s name (Sunday!) and stole it from me. That’s totally what happened. Man, that sucks. How do you guys feel about the name Apple?
- A source says that Britney Spears is “excited, but in a grown up way” about working with Madonna again. The source adds that Brit Brit has “come a long way in the last year.” This quote cracked me up. Britney is supposedly filming something for Madge’s upcoming “Sticky & Sweet” tour. How is this “working with Madonna”? This is working for Madonna. This is a step above being a featured extra in that Pusscat Dolls video. Poor Britney. I’m excited (but in a grown-up way) to see what it is she’s filming.
- Christie Brinkley told Cynthia Rodriguez to hire her lawyer. That’s it? “Hire my lawyer.” That’s the advice? Two of the biggest divorce cases since Denise and Charlie and that’s all she says? Bo-ring. These two stories are pretty interesting. What do you think is worse: cheating with an 18-year-old and being obsessed with internet porn (Peter Cook) or having an “emotional affair” with Madonna (A-Rod)? Seriously, I want to know. Seriously - love your round-ups. Love them. And I am completely torn as to which is worse…though if my man left me for a gal 25 years younger than me, I’d be pretty ticked - even if I was an ex-supermodel.
