- Deputy busted with DUI while on duty - An LA County on duty deputy has been arrested for driving under the influence and possibly causing a near deadly collision. Deputy Robert Moran ran a red light in Garden Grove the morning of June 29 and struck another vehicle. Its driver, 37-year-old Elias Aldana, suffered life threatening injuries. Its passenger and Moran also were taken to a hospital. Amormino says a Garden Grove police officer at the crash scene detected alcohol on Moran’s breath. The 18-year-veteran was arrested, booked, and then released on bail, pending the outcome of a criminal investigation.
- Three car crash injures 2 and kills 1 -Â One person died and two others were injured today in a three-vehicle crash in Rosemead. The crash happened at N. Rosemead Blvd near the 10 Freeway at about 7:30 a.m.. Paramedics pronounced one person dead at the scene and two other injured people were taken to hospitals.
- Forklift kills man in Anaheim - A forklift at a construction site in Anaheim tipped over, fatally injuring a 34-year-old. worker who was standing near the equipment. The worker was taken to UCI Medical Center where he died of blunt force trauma injuries. The forklift, was in operation at a construction site on Katella Avenue, west of State College Boulevard, when the accident occurred about 11 a.m. The injured man, who was not the operator, apparently was standing near the equipment in the area of the bucket when the forklift tipped.
