The rumors have been circulating for a while now, but today Starbucks is officially revealing it’s two new signature drinks on the Los Angeles area.
First up, we’ve got the Sorbetto, which all signs seem to indicate is a “drinkable sorbet,” and seems to be cashing in on the current FroYo craze by being, well, yogurt-based.
The second is called the Vivianno, and everyone is speculating that it will become the new Frappucinno, while being totally different from a Frappuccino… Well different in that it’s banana-based rather than deliciously fatty cream and whatnot based.
So far, we know 4 SoCal lcoations will be sporting the new beverages, with Pasadena and Burbank confirmed, although who knows what surprises there will be by the end of the day?

Starbucks is headed for trouble. Remember the Pinkberry issue with mixing powdered yogurt in their back room? Starbucks is mixing their sorbettos in their back rooms using the same ingredients that pinkberry did when they got in trouble. What both companies failed to understand is that the state of california down not allow the mixing of any finished milk products like yogurt, yogurt powder and powdered milk without a manufacturer’s permit. I see daja vu all over again…
