Local LA: Gas Prices Affecting Drive-By’s?

July 16th, 2008 Written by: Mali· No Comments

To start off, I hate violence, I hate guns, and I try to always report anything having to do with either one of those without opinion. But I came across this story and something just didn’t seem right.

Two men on bicycles opened fire on a man and woman in front of a South Los Angeles house late Monday, injuring both, authorities said today.

Two men, on bicycles opened fire and show two people. On bicycles! What happened to the day of rolling up in your pimped up Escalde? Are gas prices that bad? These two men are still on the lose too. Could no one seriously catch up with two guys on bikes? The shooting happened at 1338 East 43rd St., near Hooper Avenue. Does no one have a car around there?

Luckily the two victims in their 30’s were taken to a local hospital and both are in stable condition.

But does anyone else think a bicycle shooting is a bit weird? I mean in a car you can go fast, on foot you can sneak in and our of places, but on a bicycle you’re limited. You can’t easily go in and out of places and you can’t go that fast.

What do you think?
