Reality Rundown
On Lifetime tonight at 10:00 catch the premiere of “How to Look Good Naked” hosted by one of the former “Queer Eye” guys Carson Kressley. Tonight he helps a tall lady lose weight in order to fulfill her dream of dancing a tango.
MTV’s “From G’s to Gents” continues at 10:00 tonight with the competitors learning cricket. This could be every American’s chance to learn this confusing game. If that fails, at least you’ll get to watch the contestants attempt to apply their newfound sense of sportsmanship on the basketball court.
News & Docs
Shark Week continues with two brand new fishy episodes. At 9:00 “Dirty Jobs” goes on a Greenland Shark Quest, and at 10:00 you can find out “How Not to Become Shark Bait”.
On the History Channel catch the series premiere of “Jurassic Fight Club” at 9:00. In this series, a team of scientist postulates the outcome of ancient battles between newly-found dinosaurs. Tonight the Majungatholus shows evidence of dinosaur cannibalism.
Scripted Bliss
If you’ve yet to catch the HBO miniseries “Generation Kill” then tonight is your chance to get up to speed. The network will show the first three episodes starting tonight at 8:30. This groundbreaking series brings you right into the world of the first line of marines in the Iraq war. Be on the look out for heart-stopping sniper scene in the second episode.
SciFi Channel airs the premiere of the third season of “Eureka” tonight at 9:00. This quirky series tells the tale of an ordinary sheriff policing a town full of geniuses. In the premiere, the town is threatened by a group of drones during an anti-missile test.
Free Movie of the Night
For this section, we’ll avoid the HBO’s and Showtime’s of the world and focus only on the offerings from basic cable.
This evening you can journey to Amish country at 8:00 on E! for the Farrely Brothers’ underrated 1996 comedy Kingpin. Bill Murray’s comb over is nearly a character by itself in this hilarious bowling film with Woody Harrelson and Randy Quaid.
