Boy, large corporations sure are feeling generous this summer. One can only assume this goodwill has nothing to do with a sluggish economy and is nothing more than a gesture of appreciation and altruism.
That being said, why not cash in on their marketing incentives and get yourself some free (and almost free) goodies today?
First up: Free Viviannos and Sorbettos! Double-check your local Starbucks, as this isn’t true for all of them, but reports state that certain SoCal locations will be giving away 16-ounce Viviannos and 10-ounce Sorbettos from 4PM to 7PM. Check out the new drinks, on the house.
And then: Jamba Juice is doing a “buy one get one free” promotion, although you first need to sign up on their site for it. But basically buy a smoothie and get one of equal or lesser value free! And the offer is good until July 30th.
Finally: The Chesecake factory is celebrating their 30th anniversary by offering up slices of their namesake cheesecake for a measly buck fiddy, namely the price it sold at when the chain opened in 1978. Of course you’ll no doubt have to battle obscene lines, compounded by this special offer… But still. A giant slice of cheesecake for $1.50? What’s not to love?

That sounds lovely, as today is just short of rather friggin’ crappy. My mood could use the sugar kick. I am right now down the street from a Starbucks, Jamba Juice, and Cheesecake Factory. If I didn’t care about my figure, I’d hit up all three.
