Reality Rundown
- “Project Runway” is back in full swing with its final season before it moves to Lifetime. At 9:00 on Bravo catch a brand new episode as the contestants attempt to recreate the Manhattan skyline in fashion. Guest judge Sandra Bernhard will help determine their fate.
- See the worst show in the history of television end on NBC tonight at 9:00 with the season (and hopefully series) finale of “The Baby Borrowers”. Tonight, the babies’ biological parents get their kids back after letting young couples look after them for a few months. At least they got to be on TV.
News & Docs
- It’s the season premiere of “Big Medicine” tonight at 10:00 on Discovery Health. If you’ve never seen this show before get ready to experience obesity seldom scene outside of a mall food court. Tonight the doctors try and save a man who’s rapidly gaining weight.
- It may be Shark Week on the Discover Channel, but on The Travel Channel it’s China Week in honor of the Beijing Olympics. Tonight, Samantha Brown continues her week long tour of the country with a visit to Xian. She’ll tour the ancient capital city, check out the Terra Cota warriors and once again prove that she has the best job in the world.
Scripted Bliss
- The only new scripted programming comes the way of the one man corporation that is Tyler Perry. Tonight, down a triple shot of his sitcom “House of Payne” starting tonight at 9:30. Watch the Payne family in a trio of episodes revolving around Calvin’s upcoming wedding.
Free Movie of the Night
- For this section, we’ll avoid the HBO’s and Showtime’s of the world and focus only on the offerings from basic cable.
- On 9:00 on Oxygen catch Hugh Grant in the wonderful “About a Boy”. He plays a lonely man living off the hit Christmas song he wrote. His life changes when he meets a boy while pretending to be a single parent in order to pick up women.
