Alright. If I’m honest, I had serious doubts about posting this. I mean everyone knows that singer/dancers aren’t actually singing on stage now-a-days. Justin Timberlake does not actually sing, Miley Cyrus does not actually sing, almost any performer you see running around the stage does not actually sing. The reason Britney Spears doesn’t sound good in this video is not because she CAN’T sing but because she’s just marking the song.
Although I know that I shouldn’t feel pity, anger, or anything else towards this mega-millionaire who seems to have trouble with her life because she was never allowed to grow up. But I do feel bad for poor Brit Brit because she can’t seem to get a break. I personally was never a fan of hers, but I don’t think she deserves all the backlash she gets. She did not become famous for her voice, she was famous for being a performer. Every person of her genre does this. She’s not putting her heart into it, she’s simply trying to walk through it knowing very well that her voice will not be heard.
The reason I decided to post this video is not to poke fun at her but to point out that there is nothing wrong this video. Yes, it’s entertaining because it sounds like she can’t sing, but no there is not difference between her and all the many other pop singers out there today singing along. To me she sounds like a professional performer doing her job, looking good on stage and keeping time.
If you think I shouldn’t have posted this, you might be right. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

My brain got confused at trying to make sense out of the noise coming from the video. That was pretty bad. But she’s filthy rich, so in a way, she wins.
I don’t think she ever claimed to be a singer, did she?

It’s interesting, I can understand why she’s singing like that, I mean a sane person cannot possibly sing and do the choreography she does at the same time. I watched a Diane Sawyer interview once where she said that her “voice was ok,” in her own opinion. She did go on to say that it’s not so much her voice, but the feeling she gets when she’s singing. She also said she’d love to have a voice like Christina Aguilera. I think she’s just not trying hard enough because no one is pushing her to succeed vocally. She’s just a marketing puppet. It’s really sad. :/

At some point, her people made the decision to have her dance instead of sing in concert b/c clearly she can’t do both (and really, a lot of performers can’t). The feed from her mic should’ve been guarded like a national treasure. How in the world did this get released? It’s so hard to watch but impossible to look away from.
